    Jeonju Hanok Village in the Pungnam-dong area of Jeonju is the largest traditional hanok (traditional house) village in Korea, with around 700 hanoks clustered together. It is the only hanok cluster in an urban center in the country. Established in 1910, this area is an important space in the development of modern residential culture in Korea. It features significant cultural assets such as Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Omokdae, and the Jeonju Hyanggyo, as well as more than 20 cultural facilities. The village is a hub for various aspects of Korean culture, including hanok, Korean food, traditional Korean paper, Korean music, hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), and traditional Korean medicine.
