  In spring, green barley is grown, in summer, sunflowers, and in autumn, buckwheat. Festivals are held when each type of flower is in full bloom. The time to see green barley in Gochang is from April to early May. By mid-May, it ripens and loses its unique freshness. However, the golden waves of the barley fields in late spring and autumn are also very impressive.
