    LOCATION DESCRIPTION

Asan Oeam Folk Village originated in the mid-16th century and evolved into a typical semi-rural village of the Yean Yi clan. The village includes major and minor family houses, memorial gates, pavilions, ancestral graves, private academies, and landscape elements that symbolize semi-rural villages. For these reasons, Oeam Village was designated as a traditional building preservation district in 1988 and National Folk Cultural Property No. 236 in 1988, making it a representative folk village of the Chungcheongnam-do region. Films such as Painted Fire, Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War, The Classic, the SBS drama Rustic Period, Im Kkeokjeong, and others were filmed here, and an annual local film festival is held.
